2011 ASD Conference Registration Brochure
In the past the Administrative Services Division (ASD) Conference has been held in October annually. This conference has provided two full days of training and networking in the support areas of information technology, finance, human resources, and administration. For many agencies this has been the main source of quality training for individuals working in these fields as it relates to our behavioral healthcare industry.
To meet the current budgetary challenges affecting our agencies in 2011, the ASD Board will present a one day conferences in conjunction with the Washington Behavioral Healthcare Conference in June. The ASD conference will be held on Wednesday June 8 in Yakima, WA at the Yakima Conference Center. There will be four workshops to choose from in the morning and four more in the afternoon. Additionally, there will be a plenary session featuring noted national consultant David Lloyd of MTM Services during the lunch session. David will also be presenting during one of the afternoon workshops. David and MTM Services have assisted agencies across the nation and recently several here in Washington to improve their access and productivity.
David Lloyd, founder of MTM Services, has been providing consultation to National Council members on improving operations and accountability for over 15 years. At the lunchtime plenary session David will discuss the roles of each of us in helping our agencies survive and thrive in the emerging world of healthcare reform by providing three primary values - accessibility, efficiency, and measurable outcomes. Following the plenary, David will deliver a workshop focusing in on the opportunities and barriers involved in implementing centralized scheduling and using engagement specialists to increase capacity and improve access.
2010 ASD Conference
The 2010 ASD Conference was held at the Clarion Hotel in Yakima, WA from September 29th to October 1st.
This year's ASD Conference was a big success. We had more than 40 first time conference attendees receiving training across a wide range of administrative and support functions. This included such areas as: information technology, finance, compliance, and human resources. Our keynote speaker, Tony Ventrella, a noted Seattle sportscaster, gave a humorous and motivational speech that touched everyone in attendance.
Initial feedback included positive comments like: “I learned a lot not only for my specific area but also areas I interact with;” "Valuable training and the cost at substantial savings over that for similar trainings;” and “The keynote speaker was great.” We are already looking to next year and seeking topics of interest and locations for consideration. If you have any suggestions, please let us know and we hope to see you all at our 2011 ASD Conference.
