Clark County Department of Community Services, Vancouver WA seeks candidates for a Care Manager position.

 

THE JOB

Manage inpatient and outpatient mental health treatment of Clark County PIHP and state-funded members through telephone and computerized review. Respond to telephone inquiries from consumers and providers regarding benefits, eligibility, general and Medicaid enrollment and the process for accessing care. Manage psychiatric treatment of Clark County Medicaid and non-Medicaid consumers by reviewing cases to certify and monitor appropriate levels/elements of care. Responsible for entering relevant data and clinical information into computer. Provide support and guidance to contracted providers to assure alignment with Clark County RSN values and goals.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Registered psychiatric nurse, Masters level mental health professional (license preferred). The degree must have been conferred by an institution of higher education and have National Recognition of Accrediting Agencies by the U.S. Secretary of Education, and official transcripts will be required at the time of hire.  Minimum three years direct clinical experience with emphasis on acute psychiatric and co-occurring disorders. Experience required in the area of inpatient treatment and strongly preferred in the areas of crisis stabilization, residential/day treatment, and outpatient services.  The ideal candidate will have knowledge of managed care and utilization review, ideally in a public mental health system.

SALARY

The salary range is $4,506 - $6,417 per month.  It is the general policy of the County to start employees in the lower or middle sections of the salary range.  Clark County provides a generous benefits package, which includes medical and dental insurance, paid holidays, vacation, sick leave and retirement.
